Mission Mani: “Greetings From Palestine”

This video features our late Founder proudly displaying our “Greetings from Palestine” collection sling bag.

Mission Mani is the name we have given to our collective ṣadaqah jāriyah (continuous charity) projects, carried out on behalf of At Cruising Altitude’s founder, and my brother, Mani.

As part of Mission Mani, we have previously released two collections in our “The State of Palestine” series, which can be found through our At Cruising Altitude shop.

When we first developed The State of Palestine, our goal was simple: to help share the story of the Palestinian people from their own perspective.

After Mani returned to his Creator, we were blessed with the opportunity to visit Al Quds. While we were there, a Palestinian woman said something to us that we have never forgotten:

“Share what happens here. Tell the world about us.”

We took those words to heart.

Our first collection introduced Palestine through familiar elements of Palestinian culture, heritage, and identity. Its message was simple and unapologetic:

PALESTINE IS HERE AND WILL NOT BE ERASED.

Our second release took that story further with “The State of Resilience.” This collection focused on the extraordinary resilience of the Palestinian people, presented through the perspective of someone traveling to Palestine and discovering its history, culture, and identity. The designs incorporated recognizable symbols of Palestinian heritage and statehood, while beginning to explore Palestine through the visual language of travel.

That idea eventually became our newest collection:

“Greetings from Palestine.”

This time, we wanted to imagine Palestine not solely through the lens of struggle, but through the eyes of a traveler who has just returned from visiting a beautiful country and wants to bring a piece of that journey home.

Each bag represents a Palestinian city and its landscape, designed in the spirit of vintage tourism campaigns and the kinds of souvenirs an official tourism board might create for visitors. Together, the collection imagines something both simple and deeply meaningful: traveling through Palestine, experiencing its cities, meeting its people, and returning home with joyful memories of the journey.

Because Palestine is more than what we see in the news.

It is Al Quds, Gaza, Yafa, Akka, Ramallah, Nablus, Al Khalil, Jenin, and countless communities in between. It is history, architecture, food, landscapes, family, culture, hospitality, and memory. It is a place worthy not only of being mourned and defended, but of being visited, celebrated, remembered, and loved.

None of our Palestinian products are made for our own profit. All profits from these items are donated directly to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society through its official online donation system.

We began this work as a form of charity in Mani’s name, but it has grown into something more. It allows us to continue his legacy while honoring the request made to us in Al Quds: to keep sharing Palestine and the stories of its people.

In that way, we hope Greetings from Palestine can be a small form of continuous charity in more than one sense: supporting Palestinians directly while helping keep the conversation about Palestine alive.

And, God willing, we hope to continue doing both for as long as we can.
