Mission mani: umrah Project
Grief can be polarizing and grief can be paralyzing.
Grief can come in small ebbs or tsunami-like waves.
Grief can cause you to push or pull someone to you.
Grief is something no one should go through alone.
That’s something that we experienced first-hand.
Mission Mani started from a place of grief for our At Cruising Altitude family and has blossomed into something beautiful. Initially, the plan was to pray for our founder, Rehman Ahmed Awan, in as many mosques in the world.
We started with our hometown mosque and then went on Umrah to Saudi Arabia. The trip to Saudi Arabia really helped us spiritually and opened our hearts to more charity work. It was there that we decided to do more for our communities as an added aspect of Mission Mani. We would still travel the world to pray for Rehman in as many mosques in the world, but we would also give back to our community and the communities we visited on our travels.
From every single sale we make, money is set aside for donation.
We have managed to donate to food banks, donate to funeral services in mosques, and even provide micro scholarships for students abroad.
There were two families that we know who also faced the unthinkable, having their teenagers return to their Creator. The grief they faced was identical to our own, so we have decided to help send these two families to Umrah so they can also heal their hearts spiritually.
As of today, one family has already departed on their trip and the other will go soon, God willing.
May God accept this endeavor and help it blossom and a heartfelt thank you to those that made this possible.
