Mission Mani Micro Scholarships

It has been one year since our beloved founder, Rehman Ahmed Awan, returned to his creator.

He was a staunch supporter of education and was the president of his International Club at his college here in the United States.

His loss is something we can never compensate for, but we can continue to do good on his behalf which is the entire basis of Mission Mani.

Earlier this year, we had a teacher in Pakistan (our parents’ country of origin), reach out to us regarding financing the tuitions of four bright young girls who could no longer afford their tuition.

The education system in Pakistan is a for profit system with public schools being next to nonexistent. This usually means the most students must attend private schools which charge exorbitant fees.

With the average median income per month of Pakistanis being roughly $250 and half the population making considerably less, it’s understandable how fees, even if seeming minimal to us, may not be able to be paid.

So, after working with the teacher, we have granted four young girls in Pakistan micro scholarships so that they can continue their educations without having to worry about their tuitions.

On behalf of our founder, Rehman Ahmed Awan, we congratulate the following for being the first to get our micro scholarships!

Congratulations:

Madiha

We hope this becomes a regular thing so we can continue to do good on behalf of our founder.

If you have the time, please say a prayer for him.
